Gentza - The Herald's Steed

The next update will be more substantial than this. However, I might hold onto images of it until after the painting competition now...

It's also the WFB Doubles Tournament at my gaming club the same day as the painting competition. Trying to finalise a 750pt Warriors of Chaos force to go alongside my son's Orcs and Goblins. Really is hard to do anything substantial with so few points and such costy troops! Wish us luck!

It's looking great Elazar - well done on the hour glass! Really nice!
When is the competition (as in, when will we see pictures of the rider)? Owh, do remember to bring your camera to this competition!

And yea, playing as WoC with few points to buy troops for is quite the challenge, but I'm sure O&G is a rather good match, as you might persuade your son to bring the numbers, and you the elites. Or maybe something ranged... Either way, best of luck and I hope you'll have a blast together!

Thanks Noeste. glad you like the hour glass, took a few attempts to get the effect vaguely right so glad people don't hate it! :D
The competition is Sunday so will probably be posting pics on the Monday but will do my best to get plenty of pictures of the competition and the tournament.
Yes, my force, is very compact and very fast. Marauder Horsemen, some Knights, Endika Fleshtearer on his Steed of Slaanesh and some Warhounds for cannon fodder duties. Whereas my son has a few big blocks of infantry, some spider riders and the compulsory fanatics along with a Night Gobbo shaman (scroll caddy) and an Orc Big Boss, who is being trusted as the army general as he'll be back with the infantry who need his leadership most and Endika will be busy working his way up the flanks or working his flail into the skulls of enemy characters!

Sounds like a great plan! Again, wish you the best!

Very nice - looks much better now that it has been blended into the base.

Looking forward to the final post.

Best of luck with the tourney, O&G tend to be a good fit for a doubles partner with WoC in my experience.

Just remember to pick your fights and let the gobbos take the charges while you counter on the flank - and watch out for warmachines - in such a tight elite force they can potentially really mess up your day.
